Definitely! Members are welcome to spend time at Hamilton House whenever the House is open—reading, socializing, eating, working independently, or simply enjoying the shared space.

Absolutely. Many programs are member-led and members are encouraged to propose, lead, or co-facilitate classes, discussions, and events based on their interests and expertise

There's so much to a membership, and many ways to give back to the community. In addition to participating in classes members are invited to lead a class, program or presentation, volunteer in our office, or for special events, or join one of our numerous active standing committees to help shape the future of Hamilton House.

Annual Memberships may be purchased or renewed at any time throughout the year.

To join or renew, please complete our membership or renewal form:

  • Online, HERE
  • Paper Form, available at the front desk at Hamilton House

Members may pay:

  • Online, after submitting your registration or renewal form, through our secure payment portal
  • By check, made payable to Hamilton House

If you complete the form online but choose to pay by check, simply mail or bring your check to the House—there is no need to submit a paper form. Simply indicate this option online.

2026 Annual dues are:

  • Individual Membership: $275
  • Dual Household Membership: $425

Membership not only provides access to all programs and events—it also helps sustain Hamilton House’s necessary operational costs, weekday lunch service, historic building, and community-centered mission, ensuring the House remains vibrant and accessible for current and future members.

Membership dues have increased to help ensure Hamilton House remains financially sustainable and able to serve our community well into the future. Dues had not been raised since January 2021.

Beginning in 2026, dues reflect a $50 per person increase. When considered over the course of the year, this change averages to about $4 per person, per month. This adjustment helps support the rising costs of operating and maintaining our historic building, sustaining our meal service, offering high-quality programs, and supporting the staff and systems that serve our members.

Hamilton House is committed to remaining an inclusive, welcoming community for older adults. While membership dues play an important role in sustaining our programs and services, we work to keep dues as accessible as possible. If you have questions or concerns about membership costs, we encourage you to reach out. Limited scholarship assistance is available for members who need support. Please contact Chloe confidentially to learn more.

Certainly! In fact, we encourage it! We invite you to call ahead at (401) 831-1800 to get connected to someone from our Membership Committee for a tour, or stop by during building hours to pick up a newsletter, sit in on a class, chat with members, or enjoy lunch.

Yes! Members are encouraged to invite friends—especially to join them for lunch! (A great way to meet folks and enjoy the camaraderie of our organization.)

Lunch is served Monday–Friday, 11:30 AM–1:30 PM. The Hamilton House Café is open to members, guests, and visitors.
